MOSCOW (Realist English). Currently, there is a strong anxiety in the Russian society that our “operation in Ukraine is developing slowly.” This anxiety is fueled by some “political pundits”, even former military men, though not of our Army, who by seniority took off their uniforms so long ago that if they tried to put it on now, the seams would have parted in such unexpected (or expected, but I don’t want to offend anyone) places that the very grain of their wisdom would become visible. Moreover, the armies in which they served annihilated the civilian population en masse, it’s just not customary to talk about it, because “this is different.” Is it true that there is no prophet in his Native Land?
I will tell you how on January 22, 2015, at 08:35, a trolleybus Route 17th was shot in Donetsk near 42 Kirov Street. Three artillery scouts of the armed forces of the Ukraine took an observation position in advance. They sat on the roof of a five-storey building not too far away, there are no high-rise buildings in this area, and began to observe how, at what speed and intervals trolleybuses and minibuses approach the stop “Plant Dongormash”, located next to a three-story brick residential building of post-World War II construction.
They calculated the coordinates of the firing on several trolleybuses that had previously approached, chose the appropriate next one and gave the command “Fire” to their battery so that the projectile would hit the stop at the moment when the trolleybus stopped and there would be a maximum of arriving and waiting passengers in this place. They succeeded, they killed 15 people and wounded 20, and left satisfied. The choice fell on the stop “Factory Dongormash”, because there is an extensive industrial zone and because there is only one large apartment building with shops, salons, workshops, even a branch of Privatbank in this factory area (it is still there). And at this morning hour there were a maximum of people going to work and study. In the rear to the left is the Khrushchev-era five-story building, and it was very suitable for shooting ― one of its residents, quite possibly, had already come to a stop.
That’s the whole story! It would seem! But this is not so, the story is much bigger ― the Ukrainian armed forces and nationalists deliberately shoot residential buildings, and now that they are in cauldrons, they arrange their artillery positions in the courtyards of residential buildings, schools and kindergartens so that they are not swept away and burned by the advancing forces of the DPR, LPR and the Russian Army. The dogs have covered themselves! The Russian military do not strike at cities and do not take them by storm. This is why the advancement is carried out not as fast as we would like. But for the idle talkers, professional political pundits and visiting wise men the more victims the better.
For their noble behavior, our soldiers and officers receive gratitude letters from the mayors of the cities they took on the Foreign campaign of 1813, when they liberated Europe from the French monster Bonaparte. We do not change traditions, but we do want to know the names of punishers and murderers.
