MOSCOW (Realist English). If someone is trying to probe the weaknesses and strengths of Russia, they will find well-working “Kalibrs” and “Iskanders”. This was stated by the politician Alexander Sherin in an interview with the Realist Information Agency.
“Today, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are carrying out a very important mission to denazify and demilitarize the territory of an unfriendly state where they subjected Russians to genocide, where they do not want to conclude appropriate peace agreements with Russia, recognize our territories, including Crimea. Taking advantage of the opportunity, some states are quietly trying to aggravate relations with Russia, blackmailing us with some unresolved territorial issues. In this regard, relevant statements are being issued both from Japan and from the ministries and departments of Azerbaijan,” the Russian politician stressed.
Sherin warned Tokyo and Baku:
“Russia has all the forces and means to ensure the complete security of its country in various directions and state borders. If someone is trying to draw conclusions about our combat capability and the power of our state in the Ukrainian direction, then I want to say that the reserves have not even been involved, and the most powerful types of weapons have not yet been used, because there was no such task.
If need be and if someone has to get explanations with the use of force, then probably everyone has noticed that no one will bluff on the part of the Russian leadership; the times of conversations are over.”
The politician reassured that the enemies of the Russian state in response to rash actions may face “Kalibrs” and “Iskanders”.
“If someone is trying to probe our weaknesses and strengths, then they will find well-functioning “Kalibrs” and “Iskanders”. Therefore, these statements are made exclusively for the domestic voters of these countries, who in the future have no chance to put pressure on Russia,” Sherin said.
On March 25, Secretary General of the Cabinet of Ministers of Japan Hirokazu Matsuno announced that the Japanese government sent a protest to the Russian authorities because of military exercises in the area of the Kuril Islands.
Already on March 21, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Moscow was ending negotiations with Tokyo on a peace treaty. This was explained by the introduction of unilateral restrictions by Japan in connection with the situation in Ukraine. In addition, the Foreign Ministry promised to withdraw from the dialogue on establishing joint economic activities in the southern Kuril Islands and block the extension of Japan’s status as a partner of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization for sectoral dialogue.
