ASTANA (Realist English). President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Darren Woods, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ExxonMobil, on June 13 to review the current status and future prospects of joint investment projects in the country’s energy and oil and gas sectors.
During the meeting, President Tokayev praised ExxonMobil’s long-standing contribution to Kazakhstan’s economic development, calling the U.S. energy corporation one of the country’s “key and reliable partners” in the energy sector.
He underscored the importance of ongoing projects aimed at boosting hydrocarbon production and emphasized Kazakhstan’s interest in further deepening its strategic cooperation with ExxonMobil while improving operational efficiency.
Darren Woods, in turn, expressed appreciation for the government’s support in maintaining a favorable investment environment and facilitating the successful progress of major ventures, including Tengiz, Kashagan, and the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC).
