ABU DHABI / CAIRO (Realist English). AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS), a leading global operator in trade, logistics, and industrial services, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and Dubai-based TCM Project Management to explore joint development and operation of Egypt’s strategic crude oil storage infrastructure.

The agreement marks a significant step in deepening UAE-Egypt energy and logistics cooperation. Egypt’s oil storage system is a critical component of the country’s energy supply chain, serving both domestic and international markets. The partnership reflects AD Ports Group’s continued expansion in Egypt, where it has committed approximately $469 million in investments since 2022.

“We are pleased to partner with AD Ports Group and TCM to unlock new value from Egypt’s petroleum infrastructure,” said Karim Badawi, Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. “This MoU supports our strategy to strengthen key assets such as crude oil storage facilities.”

Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO of AD Ports Group, called the agreement a strategic milestone: “This MoU underscores our long-term commitment to Egypt — a country with which the UAE shares deep-rooted economic and diplomatic ties.”

The signing ceremony included Ahmed Al Mutawa, Regional CEO of AD Ports Group, and Nasser Shoman, Undersecretary of Egypt’s Petroleum Ministry.

The planned collaboration aims to leverage AD Ports Group’s operational expertise and advanced digital solutions to enhance Egypt’s energy infrastructure, promote regional energy security, and facilitate international oil trade. It aligns with the group’s global strategy to deliver integrated solutions that drive economic development, technology transfer, and job creation across key markets.
