WARSAW (Realist English). The leader of Poland’s ruling Law and Justice party, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, said there were signs that the conflict on the territory of the former Ukraine might end with a certain compromise, rather than a final settlement, and this would be a source of danger in the future.
“Today, we do not know how the war in Ukraine could end. There are signs that it might end with a certain compromise, rather than a final settlement, and this, unfortunately, will mean that new dangers might soon appear. We do not want such a decision,” the РАР newspaper quotes him as saying.
Poland fully supports the Kiev regime in the confrontation with Russia, but not everything depends on us, the Polish politician added.
According to Kaczynski, the Ukrainian conflict indicates that “the army today must be adequately numerous and at the same time adequately armed.”
“In various aspects, both in terms of fire capabilities, the ability to repel an air attack, and — this is especially important today on the Ukrainian front — offensive capabilities.”
The leader of the ruling party of Poland also stated the need to “bring the Polish army to a state in which it will have all these capabilities in full: it will be able to defend itself, to counterattack — because we don’t want to attack anyone first — it will be able to carry out everything related to actions that ultimately lead to victory in the war. We must build a victorious army.”
