YEREVAN (Realist English). First, they handed over part of the Holy Land to the Baku fascists, betraying the Armenians of Artsakh and abandoning them to their fate. Now, they are exploiting the name of His Church: Yerevan’s rulers smear the Catholicos, while the so-called “opposition” manipulates the wounded faith of believers, staging a mock impeachment. To the rulers and the “opposition” — you will burn in hell. In the same cauldron. Do not touch what does not belong to you.
The Church does not belong to Catholicos Karekin II. The Church belongs to Jesus Christ. For me, the truest leader of the Armenian Apostolic Church is Christ Himself — the perfect God and the perfect man. No one will ever compare to Him.
But that does not give anyone the right to slander the Catholicos or the clergy. At the same time, the Catholicos must not hide behind Christ’s authority while becoming entangled in dirty politics.
It is essential to remember: for every mistake made by both secular and religious authorities, not only the leaders will pay the price — the entire Armenian nation will suffer. What is happening today reflects a deep moral and spiritual decay in our society.
Without repentance, there can be no forgiveness.
