The Aliyev regime has no rights to Artsakh

The aggression of the Azerbaijani side will continue and there will be active attempts to squeeze the Armenians out of Artsakh. The real issue is the steadfastness of Armenians living in their native land, to which Azerbaijan, appropriating someone else's history, has no right. Another issue is the presence of Russian peacekeepers there. It only needs to be sustained, says Maxim Vaskov, scientific director of the Center for International Studies "World of the Caucasus".

YEREVAN (Realist English). The Azerbaijani side will try to remove the Russian peacekeepers not in a matter of over three years, but much earlier, says Maxim Vaskov, scientific director of the Center for International Studies “World of the Caucasus”.

“Suffice it is to look at how many provocations are coming from the Azerbaijani side. The situation is dangerous for the Aliyev regime; he has not achieved all its goals. Despite the obviously insufficient preparation for the war on the Armenian side – and this is the problem of the entire period after the liberation of Artsakh – the heroism of the Armenian soldiers and the intervention of Russia did not allow the Turks to get everything they wanted,” he said in an interview with oragir.news.

Vaskov emphasizes that the aggression of the Azerbaijani side will continue and there will be active attempts to squeeze the Armenians out of Artsakh:

The real issue is the steadfastness of Armenians living in their native land, to which Azerbaijan, appropriating someone else’s history, has no right. Another issue is the presence of Russian peacekeepers there. It only needs to be sustained”.

The scientific director of the Center for International Studies “World of the Caucasus” reminded that the Armenian people have lived through a lot of tragic pages, each time showing a persistent desire to revive:

“It is from this point of view that the current stage is important. I am absolutely positive that testing by the results and challenges that are the consequences of the war will only strengthen the will and desire of the people of Artsakh to achieve peace based on a just solution to the issue of the status and security.”
