MOSCOW (Realist English). Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order on the allocation of over 2.4 billion rubles from the Government’s Reserve Fund for the continuation of work on artificial intelligence research.

The money will be used to expand the computing potential of the Lomonosov-1 supercomputer that operates on the basis of Moscow State University and is used to study the possibilities of artificial intelligence. This subsidy became the second tranche of financing of the works. In December 2021, the government allocated more than 1.8 billion rubles for these purposes.

On March 12, at a meeting on the development of the Russian electronic industry, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko stressed that the most important task for the country is the development of its products and accelerated import substitution of what was imported from abroad.

In the conditions of the economic war declared by the West, the Russian Cabinet of Ministers in record time has prepared a plan of priority measures to support the economy, including on the basis of initiatives of relevant companies and businesses.
