Kremlin sells second S-400 regiment to Turkey

The bets have been made. The Kremlin has openly made it clear who it will support in the event of a Turkish attack on Greece, Sarkis Tsaturyan believes.

KUBINKA (Realist English). The Kremlin is selling Turkey a second regiment of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems, the work on the implementation of the contract is already underway, Dmitry Shugaev, head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, told TASS. He did not specify when the contract was signed.

On the sidelines of the Army-2022 forum, Shugaev said that the practical implementation of the mentioned contract is already underway.

“The respective contract document has already been signed. Among other things, it provides for the localization of the production of individual components of the system… the S-400 Triumph is a unique system. And I can state with full confidence that there is no reason to believe that any state can create a system in the coming years that could approach the S-400 Triumph air defense system in terms of its technical characteristics,” says the head of the federal service.

The Editor-in-Chief of the Realist News Agency Sarkis Tsaturyan commented on the further strengthening of military cooperation between Moscow and Ankara:

“The bets have been made. The Kremlin has openly made it clear who it will support in the event of a Turkish attack on Greece. And this was clear even on the Armenian issue.

I’m only interested in one thing: how will the Americans behave now, who are negotiating with Ankara on the supply of new fighters? Does in the US money also defeat evil, or is its head still on its shoulders? We’ll see. It won’t be long to wait.”

On January 11, the head of the Turkish Defense Industry Department, Ismail Demir, said that Ankara was ready to purchase a second set of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems from Russia, subject to technology transfer.
