BAKU (Realist English). The leader of the regime in Baku, Ilham Aliyev, broke through to a sincere recognition without any diplomatic frills. With his latest statements, he confirmed the Nazi essence of his policy.
“There is no Karabakh issue in the normalization process taking place between Armenia and Azerbaijan today. What does Armenia have to do with this? This is our internal business… Azerbaijanis in Karabakh are on their own land and can carry out any operation at any time, and Armenians living in Karabakh will never have any status or independence as part of Azerbaijan. Their rights will be protected in the same way as the rights of Azerbaijani citizens, without any privileges,” the leader of the Baku kleptocracy said.
Aliyev even went so as to appoint “enemies of the Armenian people”: “If someone in Karabakh again, for the sake of some kind of populism or, as they say, out of fear of someone, insists on some kind of status, independence, then you should know that he is the first enemy of the Armenian people.”
The head of the international expert center ICES Alexander Tsinker commented on the latest statements of the minisultan:
“Coming from these words, it turns out that the entire leadership of Artsakh and Armenia, representatives of the Army and the public, are the “first enemies of the Armenian people.”
Is it really so difficult to understand that today Armenians and Azerbaijanis cannot really coexist in Azerbaijani Karabakh? Paid peacekeepers who see the integration of Karabakh Armenians into Azerbaijani society as the only humanitarian solution to the problem are mistaken.
I wonder why are they so insistent on resolving the Arab-Israeli conflict through the creation of two States for two peoples? And why not offer the Palestinian Arabs, who for 75 years have not created their own state, “integration into Israeli society?” The more so that more than a million Arab citizens of Israel already live in Israel today.
I want to say it once again, any status within Azerbaijan is unacceptable for Artsakh.”
