ST. PETERSBURG (Realist English). Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin spoke at the session “Criminal Responsibility of legal entities: problems and prospects” within the framework of the XI St. Petersburg International Judicial Forum. He proposed nationalizing the main sectors of the country’s economy.
“We are talking, in essence, about economic security in war-time conditions … And then the next step: let’s follow the path of nationalization of the main sectors of our economy,” said the head of the Russian IC.
The author of the telegram channel “Master of the Pen” drew attention to the opposite statements of the head of the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Finance on the issue of attitude to property:
“Bastrykin is talking about nationalization, and the Ministry of Finance is suggesting privatization. Such divergent signals from various centers of power only further confuse the situation, finally blurring the image of the future.
However, it is quite possible that filling the agenda with such contradictions does not happen for nothing and aims to create such a new system of checks and balances that would allow us to maintain balances and refrain from extremes in making all subsequent decisions.”
On May 11, Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moisseyev said that large-scale privatization should take place in Russia, but for this it is necessary to form a market.
