Moscow Mayor Sobyanin: Attempts to organize street riots will be suppressed

They are trying to split us, to make us confront one another, to rock our unity, to make us quarrel with one another. None of this will work, said the mayor of Moscow.

MOSCOW (Realist English). All attempts to organize street riots will be suppressed consistently, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.

“I am asking you not to succumb to the calls of provocateurs. The purpose of these calls is to undermine the urban governance and to create an atmosphere of chaos, which we observed not so long ago in Kazakhstan. All attempts to organize street riots will be consistently suppressed,” the mayor of the Russian capital wrote in his blog.

Mr. Sergey Sobyanin stressed that “we are not afraid of external enemies as long as we stay united and close-knit”: “They are trying to split us, to make us confront one another, to rock our unity, to make us quarrel with one another. This will never work”.

The mayor also said that continuous DDOS attacks on the websites of city’s organizations and institutions are taking place:

“Hackers broadcast slogans against our country from hacked websites and urge people to take to the streets. There is a real psychological information attack that goes on via the phones of the citizens. Professionals and large systemic structures are behind all this. And all this is happening against the backdrop of the economic sanctions, which are directed not so much against the security of the state, as against ordinary citizens”.
