MOSCOW (Realist English). The Russian government has approved additional funding to support the development of industrial and technology parks in several regions, including the Republics of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, as well as the city of Moscow. The directive, signed this week, aims to boost local manufacturing capacity and technological innovation through targeted infrastructure subsidies.
According to the official announcement, Tatarstan will receive more than ₽520 million to finance projects at the Laishevo Industrial Park and the Innopark high-tech technopark.
In Bashkortostan, federal support for the Ufimsky Industrial Park will exceed ₽219 million, while the Rudnevo Industrial Park in Moscow is set to receive over ₽127 million.
These subsidies are intended to partially reimburse managing companies for costs associated with project design, construction, modernization of industrial infrastructure, acquisition of equipment, and the connection of production facilities to engineering and utility networks.
Russia’s federal support mechanism for industrial parks, technoparks, and special economic zones has been in place since 2014. Funding is allocated through a competitive selection process overseen by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Minpromtorg).
Eligible sites must host investment projects in strategic sectors such as aerospace, automotive, light industry, energy and oilfield equipment, children’s goods manufacturing, and machine tool production — covering more than 30 priority areas in total.
The initiative is part of the state program “Development of Industry and Increasing Its Competitiveness,” which seeks to accelerate regional industrial growth and reduce reliance on foreign technologies amid ongoing geopolitical and trade challenges.
This latest wave of funding highlights Moscow’s long-term industrial policy — emphasizing localized production, regional innovation ecosystems, and state-supported infrastructure as a response to sanctions pressure and shifting global supply chains.
