Activists of the “Young Guard” and the “Volunteer Company” perform a whole range of versatile tasks on a daily basis to assist residents of Donbass and restore peaceful life. Anton Demidov, the leader of the “Young Guard”, told about this in an interview with the Realist Information Agency.
“The guys are working at temporary accommodation facilities, fully taking over the registration of people, organizing their transfer to Rostov-on-Don and Donetsk, temporary resettlement of people. Another important front of work is the work in the warehouses with humanitarian aid. Volunteers unload, sort out and distribute a lot of products every day.” he said.
The leader of the youth organization stressed that special attention is paid to children:
“Game tea parties, birthday celebrations and other theatrical programs are regularly held with them. People associate a lot of hopes with our activity in people search.”
In addition, volunteers have opened a special website poisk-mariupol.ru , thanks to which they search for and keep records of people who have left Mariupol through temporary accommodation points:
“We have recently started to carry out targeted applications for people search. In all this time, we have assisted in the restoration of family ties on 4 thousand applications, and we have found more than 100 people in Mariupol and this number is only growing.”
On March 30, the first group of United Russia’s Young Guard volunteers and the “Volunteer Company”, consisting of 50 people, arrived on the territory of Donbass. Among the volunteers are doctors, psychologists, as well as people with extensive experience in emergency situations. The volunteer camp is deployed in two locations near Mariupol: in the village of Bezymennoye and the village of Volodarskoye.
