YEREVAN (Realist English). No piece of paper and no external guarantees will ensure peace between Armenia and the Baku–Turkish occupiers, because their goal is to physically exterminate the Armenian as a people in order to seize their land, not to achieve peaceful coexistence. The Baku–Turkish occupiers are methodically engaged in our destruction. No robber can live in the same house with his victim: he either flees the scene of the crime or kills the victim to cover his tracks.
At the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, Turkish fascists exterminated the Armenians of Cilicia and the western provinces of occupied Greater Armenia. We, along with the entire world, rightfully called these atrocities the Armenian Genocide. Now, as the first quarter of the twenty-first century comes to a close, the Baku–Turkish fascists have annihilated and expelled Armenians from most of the eastern provinces of occupied Greater Armenia — Nakhijevan, Utik, and Artsakh. Next in line are Syunik and Yerevan.
Some among us carelessly called these events the Karabakh wars, while others treacherously called them a “road to an era of peace,” distracting us from the essence. In truth, what is happening to the Armenian people is a continuation of the Armenian Genocide. And the only way to stop the Genocide — this Turkish machine of death and oppression — is an uncompromising struggle against the enemy, not false comfort in a piece of paper from Donald Trump, who is concerned only with his future war against Iran. The so-called “corridor” through Syunik (regardless of what it is called) makes that war inevitable.
Our enemies try to frighten Armenians with war, but the truth is that new concessions to the enemy only bring war closer, not farther away. Do not be deceived by sweet words and “guarantees.” The only and eternal guarantee of the Armenian people is the freedom-loving Armenian and his God. Time will prove the truth of these words. For God Himself is the King of Time.
