BAKU (Realist English). The Azerbaijani authorities are trying to terrorize not only the Armenians of Artsakh, but also the Deputy of the State Duma Mikhail Delyagin, who stood up for the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated by the Editor-in-chief of Realist Information Agency Sarkis Tsaturyan.

“The history with State Duma Deputy Mikhail Delyagin should be a lesson for certain circles in the Kremlin and around its red walls that it will not be possible to constantly appease the aggressor in the hope of sitting on two chairs. The jeans will burst. And this will happen at the most inopportune moment, when you will be flaunting along the building of the former Gosplan (Gosplan is the abbreviation of State Planning Committee, central board that supervised various aspects of the planned economy of the Soviet Union – translator). I have not been surprised for a long time by the pro-Turkish sentiments of Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who made his choice a long time ago. But I am surprised by the absence of any clear reaction from the State Duma to the boorish attack of the Baku regime, which put Delyagin on the international wanted list. What kind of great power is Russia after this slap in the face? If you don’t stand up for Delyagin today, then tomorrow there will be no one to stand up for you. Hands off Mikhail Gennadievich!” said Tsaturyan.

According to him, “the Baku mini-Sultanate is progressing in its hatred of the outside world”: “If previously the regime’s enemies were exclusively Armenians, now the kleptocrats from Baku have begun to write down Russian politicians as enemies who do not hesitate to express their opinion about the Azerbaijani terrorist attacks in Artsakh. It is noteworthy that Delyagin spoke specifically about the safety of Russian peacekeepers, without touching on the fate of the indigenous Armenian residents of Nagorno-Karabakh. The alarm about the Russian servicemen turned out to be enough to get into the “black list” of the Baku regime.”

Earlier, speaking in the live TV show “60 Minutes” on the Rossiya TV channel, Delyagin called for tough and unequivocal punishment of Azerbaijan, or, as he called it, the “Turkish proxy”, for its actions in Nagorno-Karabakh and disobedience to Russian peacekeepers. According to the politician, the Azerbaijanis violated the truce in Artsakh.

“Ours said that they retreated back after we talked to them. But Baku officially stated that they did not leave the occupied territories anywhere. Therefore, this policy of aggression on the part of American satellites, in this case Turkey, or rather Turkish proxies, as we call them, is a real danger. It is necessary to punish for this harshly and unambiguously. Why do we need the oil industry of Azerbaijan? We don’t need it, it’s extremely vulnerable. If people don’t understand words, they will probably have to understand deeds. If we don’t do this, we won’t be there. This the only way the question is.” Delyagin stressed in his presentation.

The Realist Information Agency Editor-in-chief believes that the Deputy told the truth, because Russia really does not need the oil and gas economy of Azerbaijan.

“By the way, Delyagin is not the only one in Moscow who thinks this way: he publicly outlined what many people at the top are worried about. The access of Russian energy carriers to world markets will eventually narrow (this is inevitable), especially against the backdrop of lifting of all crippling sanctions against Iran, which will happen in the very near future. So, any gas and oil supplies to the EU, alternative to the Russian Federation, will be perceived by the Russian ruling class as a blow to their well—being.” Tsaturyan says.

On March 30, the vulnerable Baku officials opened a criminal case against the Russian parliamentarian and put him on the international wanted list.
