Lavrov explained why Ukrainian issue cannot be resolved amicably

We have for many years been offering to solve this in peace. The West did not want to solve this situation by peace. This is not about Ukraine at all. Or rather, not so much about Ukraine as about the world law and order, explained Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

MOSCOW (Realist English). Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov explained in an interview with RBC why the situation with Ukraine could not have been resolved amicably.

“It’s because the West did not want to solve this situation by peace. This is not about Ukraine at all. Rather, not so much about Ukraine, as about the world law and order. The United States has taken over the whole of Europe. Under Biden, the United States set itself the task of subjugating Europe and achieved its unquestioned adherence to the American course. The current crisis is a crucial moment. This is an epochal moment in modern history. It reflects the battle over what the world order will look like. A misinterpreted feeling of one’s own infinite superiority prevails in the situation under consideration. Building a world in which the West will lead everything with impunity and unquestioningly,” Lavrov explained.

According to the minister, there is truth in the reasoning that Russia remains the last obstacle for the United States that needs to be overcome before dealing with China.: “This is simply said, but there is a serious truth in it. Why couldn’t the world be solved? We have been offering to solve this in peace for many years.”

Earlier, SVR Director Sergei Naryshkin said that the decision to launch a special operation in Ukraine was based on an extremely accurate assessment of the situation in the world. He added that the slightest delay in relation to the “Russophobic Kiev regime” would turn into a great tragedy in the near future.

On the morning of February 24, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation of the Russian Military Forces in the Ukraine. The special operation forestalled and thwarted a large-scale offensive by the shock groups of the Armed Forces of the Ukraine on the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, which are not controlled by the Kiev regime, in March of this year.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 181 Ukrainian aircraft and helicopters, 172 unmanned aerial vehicles, 170 anti-aircraft missile systems, 1,379 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 133 multiple rocket launchers, 514 field artillery and mortars, as well as 1,168 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
