MOSCOW (Realist English). The Russian Ministry of Defense showed a video of the strikes on the US-supplied M777 howitzers and the Ukrainian artillery crew by the kamikaze drone “Cube”.
In the vicinity of the settlement of Podgornoye on the territory of the former Ukraine, Russian crews of unmanned aerial vehicles and means of artillery reconnaissance have established the coordinates of the firing position of 155-mm M777 howitzers manufactured in the United States, which are used by the militants of the Armed Forces of the Ukraine, the Defense Ministry reported.
“Operators of unmanned aerial vehicles launched a missile strike on the firing position of a battery of American howitzers, as a result of which several guns were damaged. After the drone strikes, Ukrainian militants attempted to hide in the forest and hide the towed M777 howitzers there. As soon as the Ukrainian militants concentrated trucks and guns in the forest, artillery dealt a blow there. All equipment and American howitzers were destroyed. The surviving Ukrainian gunners fled,” the defense ministry noted.
On May 17, the Pentagon reported that out of 209 thousand 155-mm shells for M777 howitzers, the Americans delivered more than 130 thousand ammunition to the territory of the former Ukraine.
