ISLAMABAD (Realist English). The heads of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and China’s People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) met in Islamabad on Tuesday, pledging to expand military cooperation in areas of training, technology, and multi-domain operations.
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Pakistan’s top air force officer, hosted Lieutenant General Wang Gang, Chief of Staff of the PLAAF, for high-level talks on operational synergy between the two forces. According to an official statement by the Pakistan Armed Forces, Wang received an in-depth briefing on the PAF’s modernized force structure and strategic initiatives.
The Chinese general expressed strong admiration for Pakistan’s “cutting-edge capabilities” and high level of readiness. He also lauded the PAF’s response in a recent confrontation with India, describing it as a “textbook example of precision, discipline and courage.”
Wang emphasized that the Chinese air force seeks to learn from Pakistan’s “battle-proven experience in multi-domain operations,” citing it as a model for contemporary aerial warfare.
Sidhu reaffirmed the long-standing strategic partnership between the two countries, stressing that their air force cooperation is built on “mutual trust, strategic convergence, and shared aspirations for regional peace and stability.”
