MOSCOW (Realist English). Vladimir Zhirinovsky was a big part of my conscious life, said Alexander Sherin, a member of the LDPR Supreme Council, in an interview with the Realist Information Agency.
“I have been a member of the LDPR since 1999. This is 23 years out of 44 years I have lived. Naturally, he is my teacher and a person whom I have always been proud and whom I have admired. His speeches are textbooks, which will be studied by more than one generation of diplomats, military servicemen, rhetoricians and political scientists in higher educational institutions. This is a great and personal loss for those who were close to him, and for those who voted for the LDPR, as well as those who admired the genius of Vladimir Volfovich.
Unfortunately, this is how the world works. Both our country and our society are no exception, when geniuses are rarely recognized during their lifetime, they often try to hush up, ridicule, and sometimes blab and smear with untruth. After death, they only begin to recognize the talent and uniqueness of the person.
It is a great honor that we happened to live at one and the same time with Vladimir Zhirinovsky. We are proud to tell our grandchildren that we lived in the same era with him. And it is a great honor for us that we worked with him both in the LDPR and in the LDPR faction in the State Duma. It was thanks to this man that I entered big politics, thanks to him I was able to gain tremendous knowledge, expand my horizons and be proud that I am Russian and a citizen of a country with the greatest history. That’s who Vladimir Zhirinovsky was for us,” the politician shared his memories.
LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky passed away on April 6 after a prolonged illness at the age of 76.
