WASHINGTON (Realist English). The United States will provide $1.5 billion in aid to the regime in Kiev every month to ensure uninterrupted state governance. In total, Washington has allocated $53.6 billion to help the Kiev regime, Chief Deputy Head of the Department for Europe and Eurasia at the US State Department Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, U.S. Department of State; formerly Ambassador to U.S. Embassy Moldova Derek Hogan said during “The Marshall Plan at 75: Lessons for Ukraine?” conference in Washington.

“We have already provided a billion dollars for these needs [of public administration] through mechanisms that help to provide direct support to the budget. And there will be more. About $1.5 billion a month will be allocated over the next 4-5 months,” said Hogan, former US ambassador to Moldova (from 2018 to 2021).

The United States has allocated $53.6 billion for Ukraine. This is their biggest help since the financing of the “Marshall Plan” for the reconstruction of European countries after World War II.

Earlier, the Ukrainian government announced the need for $5 billion a month to support government functions.

US President Joe Biden signed the lend-lease law on May 9, and on May 21 he signed a law on the allocation of $40 billion in aid for the Kiev regime and announced a new batch of weapons for the Ukrainian army.
