The Baku gangs have blocked the Stepanakert-Goris highway in order to seize the gold mines of Artsakh

Aliyev's goal is obvious — it's money. But not only that. He wants to deprive his opponent (the Armenian people living in Artsakh) of budget revenues in order to worsen the socio-economic situation in Artsakh proper and to contribute to the outflow of people, Realist Editor-in-Chief Sarkis Tsaturyan is sure.

YEREVAN (Realist English). The Baku gangs have blocked the Stepanakert-Goris highway in order to gain control over the gold mines of Artsakh, the Editor-in-Chief of Realist News Agency Sarkis Tsaturyan said. “On December 12, the Baku gangs committed another dirty provocation on the strategic highway Stepanakert-Goris.

I suggest we find out what or who is driving the Baku gangs in this story and what they really want from Artsakh. After the end of the Baku-Turkish aggression in 2020, my interlocutors were surprised to say that the gold mines in the territory of Artsakh were in no way affected by the bombing. Not a single shell fell on these factories, which are located in the Martakert district and which is being claimed by the Baku minisultan today.

Aliyev’s goal is obvious — it’s money. But not only that. He wants to deprive his opponent (the Armenian people living in Artsakh) of budget revenues in order to worsen the socio-economic situation in Artsakh proper and to contribute to the outflow of people from Artsakh. Against this backdrop, the Russian military contingent in Artsakh faces a choice: either they help maintain control over the vital transport artery, as well as maintain control over the gold mines, thanks to which the budget of Artsakh is replenished to a greater extent today, or the Russian military contingent does nothing and the British, with the hands of the Baku gangs, take control of the gold mines.

That is, it’s time for them to decide: if the Russian military does not fulfill its obligations prescribed in various documents, then the Armenian ruling class or Armenians living in Artsakh and Armenia should, through their authorities, appeal to the OSCE Minsk Group chair countries, the United States and France, with a demand to expand the peacekeeping contingent at the expense of French and American servicemen, in order to guarantee the peace and security of the Armenian people in the face of ethnic cleansing, for which the Baku minisultanate is famous. It’s time to take decisive action.

If Russia is unable to cope and cannot rein in the Baku gangs, then it should share power with the Americans and the French in order to jointly (if for some reason the Russian Federation cannot or does not want to interfere and provoke a conflict with the Baku gangs) solve the issue – together with the Americans and the French. This is the optimal offer! This situation is instructive for the Armenian people, but more so for the Armenian ruling class.

Why do the Baku fascists claim the gold of Artsakh today? Because for decades, the gold that was mined by Armenian multi-millionaires, not always, I would even say, almost never got into the pockets of ordinary hard workers who have lived on their land and raised children on their land. This money fell into the pockets of the rich, which ultimately did not allow the people to reach prosperity. And now the Baku gangs want to take away from the Armenian rich what they did not want to share with their people.

The morale is this: if you have something in excess, do not spare it for your people, do not steal money, share it with your neighbor, and then the enemy will not demand of you what you value so much,” Tsaturyan said in his video message to subscribers.
