MOSCOW (Realist English). Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has justified the territorial seizures of the Baku regime.

“Yes, Azerbaijan has returned the lands that belong to it. Now, that both Armenia and Azerbaijan, together with the European Union, have signed a document on their readiness to conclude a peace treaty on the terms outlined in the Alma-Ata Declaration of December 1990, well, it’s even difficult for us to decide on further steps, because the Alma-Ata Declaration says that the borders between the new independent states will be Along the administrative borders of the Soviet Union, the Union republics, including the Armenian SSR and the Azerbaijani SSR, the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region was part of the Azerbaijani SSR. So the situation here is multi—layered,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel and RIA Novosti news agency.

Thus, the Russian diplomatic agency has justified the aggression of the Baku gangs against Artsakh and Armenia, which took place in 2020 and which continues to this day.

The editor-in-chief of the Realist News Agency Sarkis Tsaturyan believes that Sergey Lavrov is confused and talks about unrealizable things:

“Sergey Lavrov and his department are confused in their justification of the Baku-Turkish aggression against Artsakh and Armenia. How can Russia, Armenia and the Baku Minisultanate rely on the Alma-Ata Declaration and draw borders between themselves along the “administrative borders” of the USSR, if the USSR itself does not exist and Crimea belongs to the Ukraine along these “administrative borders”?

Is Lavrov going to return Crimea to the Ukraine? I am tormented by doubts. If the Kremlin and Smolenskaya Square want to apply the Soviet administrative-territorial division, then let’s apply it universally. That is, everywhere: in the Caucasus and in Eastern Europe. Otherwise, it turns out somehow crooked and biased. On the issue of the Ukraine, the Kremlin and Smolenskaya Square have abandoned the Soviet “administrative division”, and on the contrary, on the issue of Armenia, Armenians are being imposed the boundaries of an entity that collapsed more than 30 years ago.

Somehow it turns out clumsy and unfair. Either let’s play by the same rules for everyone, or let’s stop being “wise”, because such “wisdom” costs the peoples of the Caucasus very dearly. We’ve already shed rivers of blood. Maybe that’s enough already?”.
