MOSCOW (Realist English). More than 200 thousand people arrived in the Russian Army as part of the partial mobilization, which began on September 21, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.

According to him, the relevant officials have been instructed to provide the mobilized with the necessary sets of clothes and other property, to appoint them to military positions.

“The training of the personnel of the formed units is carried out at 80 training grounds and in six training centers,” Shoigu said.

The Minister stressed that a large number of volunteers came to military enlistment offices during the partial mobilization, none of them need to be refused unless there are serious reasons for it:

“I would like to note that during the partial mobilization, a large number of volunteers come to military commissariats. It is extremely important to carefully approach each such appeal — not to refuse anyone unless there are serious grounds for it.”

Shoigu instructed the Main Directorate of Control and Supervisory Activities to “carefully monitor the entire range of partial mobilization measures.”

He also demanded that the commanders of the military districts and the Northern Fleet “in order to adapt the recruits to the combat situation as soon as possible, conduct additional classes with them under the guidance of officers with combat experience”:

“The military personnel should be sent to combat areas after training and combat coordination.”

On September 21, President Vladimir Putin announced partial mobilization in Russia.
