West’s rabid Russophobia will never reach bottom – Medvedev

We have enough might to put all the impudent enemies of our country in their place. We will continue to fight for the world order that suits Russia and our citizens. Where there is no place for frostbitten Nazis, historical lies and genocide, said Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.

MOSCOW (Realist English). Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev believes that “the rabid Russophobia of the West will never reach the bottom.”

“NATO’s expansion to our borders, the economic and information war unleashed against our country on all fronts, endless threats and intimidation, the fierce persecution of our citizens abroad. All these are the reasons for the extreme aggravation of the international situation that the whole world is experiencing these days. The line of behavior of the countries of the Western world towards Russia in recent years is disgusting, criminal and immoral,” he wrote in his telegram channel.

Medvedev reminded that Moscow had sincerely sought good relations with the West:

“Together we defeated fascism in the XX century, agreed on universal rules of security and cooperation. But now no one is surprised by the double standards of the West. When they need it, they can turn a blind eye to everything, including the extermination of civilians in Donbass, which lasted for years. If something does not go according to their orders, the only culprit is our country.”

According to him, the anti-Russian hysteria that we are currently witnessing is by no means a new phenomenon.

“It was present in the XIXth as well as XXth centuries. Let ‘s recall the famous words of Fyodor Tyutchev: “It has long been possible to predict that this rabid hatred, which has been kindled in the West against Russia for thirty years, stronger and stronger every year, will break loose someday. This moment has come. Russia was simply offered suicide, renunciation of the very basis of its existence, a solemn recognition that it is nothing else in the world but a wild and ugly phenomenon, an evil that requires correction.” It feels like it was written in 2022,” he added.

Medvedev is convinced that the ground for this “rabid hatred” towards Russia was laid by the United States and its satellites throughout the thirty years of the existence of the new Russian state:

“It’s just that for a long time it was masked by the hypocritical white-toothed smiles of politicians and diplomats who said one thing and did something completely different. Simply put, they brazenly lied to us for the sake of their own interests.

Of course, they did not like that Russia has again become a strong power capable of defending her interests, protecting her own citizens in other countries. The fierce Russophobia noted in the quotation of the Russian classic literally “broke loose”, choking in impotent anger. After all, our country must be cornered, brought to its knees and re-educated according to the patterns of the Anglo-Saxon world. Make her weak and completely submissive. And even better – tear it apart.”

The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council is confident that Russia has enough might to “put into place all the impudent enemies of our country”:

“We will continue to fight for the world order that suits the Russian Federation and our citizens. For the one, in which there is no place for frostbitten Nazis, historical lies and genocide. Moral force and historical truth, as before, are on our side.”

Before the start of the special military operation in the Ukraine on February 24, 2,754 sanctions have already been imposed against Russia, but within weeks after the start of the special operation, the United States and EU countries imposed an additional 2,778, which doubled the total number of sanctions to 5,532.
