Putin: Russia will continue to act in the Ukraine rhythmically, calmly and according to plan

Russia could increase the intensity of hostilities in the Ukraine, but this would be one way or another associated with larger losses on both sides. Our task is to achieve all the set goals, minimizing these losses. We will act rhythmically, calmly and according to the plan that the General Staff initially proposed, said the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin.

TSIOLKOVSKY (Realist English). The special operation of the Russian Army in the Ukraine is proceeding according to plan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin said at a joint press conference with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

“I am watching closely the discussion in the society. We should not hide anything from the public. We must cover this combat work objectively. First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the Russian soldiers and officers, Russia’s warriors for the heroism and courage they show in serving our Fatherland. Performing complex, dangerous tasks in the Donbas and the Ukraine, our servicemen protect the interests of Russia, protect Russia.” the head of state stressed.

Putin remimnded that prior to the start of the operation, he spoke about the inevitability of a clash with the Nazis, who had been brought up by the West in the Ukraine since their childhood. According to him, this was only a matter of time.

“They are preparing and waiting in the wings. And we, as I said at the time, would not let them do it. This is the logic of our actions.” Putin believes.

Russia’s leader explained that the actions in certain regions of the Ukraine were only related to shackling forces, destroying military infrastructure, and creating conditions for more active actions on the territory of Donbass.

Putin stressed that Russia could increase the intensity of combat operations, but this would be one way or another associated with larger-scale losses on both sides:

“Our task is to achieve all the set goals, minimizing these losses. And we will act rhythmically, calmly, according to the plan that was originally proposed by the General Staff.”

On February 24, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation of the Russian Armed Forces in the Ukraine. Its goals were called “demilitarization and denazification of the Ukraine.”

Since 2014, Moscow has repeatedly made attempts to resolve the conflict over Donbass with Kiev peaceably. The Kiev regime should have simply allowed the Donbass to speak Russian and given the opportunity to live in its own way. However, instead, the Ukrainian authorities staged a blockade of the region and genocide of the local population.
