“There is neither a ministry nor a budget”: Israeli propaganda Minister on the failure of the information war

According to Israel’s Propaganda Minister Galit Distel-Atbaryan, unlike other ministries that existed in the old government, which continue to receive funding now, her department has been created only on paper so far.

TEL AVIV (Realist English). Against the backdrop of another failure of Israel in the information war against Hamas, Channel 14 invited the Minister of Propaganda, Knesset deputy from the Likud party Galit Distel-Atbaryan in the studio.

According to Distel-Atbaryan, unlike other ministries that existed in the old government, which continue to receive funding now, her department has been created only on paper so far. Only after the adoption of the new budget, it will receive funding. “The Ministry cannot built in one day,” she said in her defense.

The failure of Israel’s information campaign has been talked about for a long time. To the journalists’ remark that Hamas, without any funding or budget, conducts active propaganda in social networks, Israel’s Distel-Atbarian replied that she also tries to conduct explanatory work in social networks.

The Minister also said that on April 8, she created an emergency headquarters for explanatory work.

Earlier, Distel-Atbaryan said that all Israeli protests are funded from abroad, and people who take to the streets “do not know the truth.” The Minister is convinced that Israeli citizens who are dissatisfied with the government’s policy and judicial reform do not realize that they are being “taken out” to demonstrations with foreign moneis. According to her theory, finances flow “from countries such as Germany or Iran.”
