In Mariupol alone, since the beginning of the special military operation of the Russian Armed Forces 1,844 Ukrainian soldiers have surrendered.
On March 21, Russian troops took control of a protected, buried command post of the AFU. 61 Ukrainian servicemen voluntarily surrendered, more than half of them are senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Ukraine.
Russian military doctors from the special purpose medical detachment provide assistance and conduct treatment of captured Ukrainian servicemen. Specialists conduct examinations, prescribe and treat diseases and injuries of any complexity.
The military hospital, deployed on the basis of one of the medical institutions of the LPR, is provided with medicines for medical treatment and is equipped with all necessary equipment for surgical operations and treatment of wounds and injuries of various severity. The hospital is equipped with permanent wards, intensive care unit, X-ray, dressing and surgical wards.
