MOSCOW (Realist English). The electronic registrar of military registration was created in order to simplify the interaction of citizens with military enlistment offices, there will be no fan mailings of electronic summonses, said Colonel Andrei Biryukov, Head of a Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
“All the existing deferrals for citizens remain in full effect. There will be no “fan” mailings of “electronic summonses” to citizens of military age. The unified electronic registrar of military registration was created, first of all, to simplify the interaction of citizens with military enlistment offices.
Now, instead of a personal visit to the military enlistment office to clarify or change the military registration data, it has become possible to send all the necessary documents in electronic form,” the General Staff explained.
The spring recruitment (conscript) campaign began on April 1 and is taking place as planned and will be completed on July 15 this year.
“To date, 52 thousand citizens have been notified and more than 50 thousand have already arrived at military enlistment offices. In relation to 21 thousand citizens, decisions were made on conscription for military service. Another 29 thousand citizens wrere granted deferrals on legal grounds.
Beginning with April 20, the first dispatches of conscripts to permanent deployment points located on the territory of the Russian Federation will begin. A third of the recruits will be sent to training units and military units, where they will master modern military equipment and receive a military accounting specialty within three months,” Biryukov said.
On April 14, President Vladimir Putin signed a law providing for the creation of a unified registrar of military registration. The document allows to notify conscripts about conscription using electronic summonses, and also introduces some restrictions for citizens who, having received a summons, did not come to the military enlistment office. The law is published on the official portal of legal information.
Now, citizens will be informed about military registration or changing any information through their personal accounts on the portal of public services. There is no longer any need to come, as before, without fail, to military enlistment offices (commissariats) for military registration, registration of deferrals and other issues.
