MOSCOW (Realist English). The AFU uses fourth-generation MiG-29 fighters belonging to the air force of the Baku Minisultanate. This was reported by war correspondent Boris Rozhin.
“Information has appeared in Ukrainian telegram channels that the AFU uses the fourth generation multi-purpose fighter jets MiG-29 of the Azerbaijani Air Force. In particular, they were involved during the counteroffensive of the Ukraine in the Kherson direction. It is reported that the AFU units managed to occupy several settlements thanks to the work of Azerbaijani MiGs. <…> It is known that these planes were under repair at the Lvov Aviation Plant, after which they had to return back to Azerbaijan. However, the Ukraine, instead of returning them in accordance with the concluded agreement, began to use them against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Only the Azerbaijani authorities can clarify this situation and confirm either the fact of their return or of them being under repair,” Rozhin said, citing his sources.
The MiG-29s belonging to the Baku fascists were spotted at the Lvov State Aviation Repair Plant back in January 2022. The newspaper “Reporter” reminds that similar work took place at factories in the Ukraine in previous years. All repaired fighter jets were delivered by Kiev to Baku in 2006-2011.
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between the Baku minisultanate and Russia in January-September 2022 amounted to $2 billion 538 million 206.47 thousand, which is 23.6% more than in the first 9 months of last year. And in 2021, the trade turnover amounted to $2 billion 995 million 131.31 thousand, which is 12.1% more than in 2020.
According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian companies have invested $4.5 billion in the economy of the Baku minisultanate.
