MOSCOW (Realist English). The commander of an amphibious assault battalion of a separate brigade of marines of the Pacific Fleet, Major Sergei Kuzminchuk, during a special operation on the territory of the former Ukraine, received a battle order to go to the northwestern part of the settlement of Mosсhun, block the main road directions, create conditions for the advance of the main forces and establish control over the settlements of Mosсhun and Gorenka.
The servicemen under the command of Major Kuzminchuk took the fortified area of the Nazi formations, putting them to flight.
“Having assessed the situation, he and the battalion personnel without equipment swiftly wading overcame the water barrier at night under the cover of artillery, observing radio silence and concealment, captured the north-western part of Mosсhun at a distance of one kilometer from the water barrier.
He held the occupied positions for three days, provided guidance to the floating bridge over the Irpen River, deprived the enemy of observation of the crossing from ground observation posts and, concentrating the enemy’s attention on himself, allowed the main forces to suddenly sneak to the enemy’s rear,” the Russian Defense Ministry reported about the feat of Major Kuzminchuk.
At the time, the enemy forces were three times more than the fighters of the 155th Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet who took part in this operation.
In addition to the official telegram channel of the Russian Defense Ministry, Telegram has a separate channel “Heroes of Special Operation Z”, which publishes stories of the exploits and personal courage of Russian soldiers taking part in the special military operation on the territory of the former Ukraine.
On February 24, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation of the Russian Armed Forces in the Ukraine. Its goals were called “demilitarization and denazification of the Ukraine.”
