DONETSK (Realist English). On March 14, at about 11:30 Moscow time, a tactical missile “Tochka-U” was fired at a residential quarter of Donetsk city from the territory controlled by the Kiev nationalist regime.

“The Ukrainian Nazis committed a monstrous terrorist attack against the civilians of Donbass – they used a “Tochka-U” missile system with a cluster-type charge in the center of Donetsk. And if we didn’t succeed to destroy the rocket in the air, there would be incommensurably more victims. The blow was struck in the daytime, when there were a lot of people on the street, transport was actively moving, banks and shops were working,” — said Denis Pushilin, the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic. — An end will soon be put to the war crimes of the Kiev regime. The liberation operation is getting momentum, the Armed Forces of the People’s Republics, with the fire support of the Russian Army, are squeezing the fascist evil spirits out of our cities and villages.”

As a result of the explosion of a cluster warhead in the center of Donetsk, 20 civilians were killed. Another 28 people, including children, were seriously injured and taken to medical institutions.

“The use of such weapons in a city where there are no firing positions of the armed forces, that is, obviously against the civilian population, is a war crime. Equipping the warhead of the tactical “Tochka-U” missile with cluster ammunition proves that the aim of the nationalists’ strike on the city was to kill as many civilians as possible,” the Russian Defense Ministry stressed.

The Russian military department stressed that “the decision to use this type of missile weapons is made, at least, by the command of the Ukrainian group of troops, after approval by the leadership of the armed forces of Ukraine in Kiev”:

“All this once again confirms the Nazi and anti-human essence of the ruling regime in the Ukraine today.”

On the morning of February 24, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation of the Russian Air Force in Ukraine. The special operation forestalled and thwarted a large-scale offensive by the shock groups of the Armed Forces of the Ukraine on the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, which are not controlled by the Kiev regime, in March of this year.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 3,920 objects of the military infrastructure of the Ukraine have been put out of operation.
