STEPANAKERT (Realist English). The Ministry of Defense of Artsakh reported the death of two contract servicemen and the injury of 14 servicemen as a result of the aggression of the gangs of the Baku regime.
“As we have already reported, on August 3, starting at 09:00, Azerbaijani units, grossly violating the ceasefire regime, fired at the combat positions of the Defense Army and the place of permanent deployment of one of the military units, in addition to various-caliber small arms, also using mortars, grenade launchers and attack UAVs. As a result, servicemen of the contract service of the Defense Army Gurgen Galerievich Gabrielyan and Artur Khachatryan were mortally wounded. The Ministry of Defense of Artsakh shares the heavy bitterness of the loss and expresses support to the family members, relatives and colleagues of the deceased servicemen,” the message reads.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh strongly condemned the new round of aggressive actions of the Aliyev criminal regime against Artsakh and qualified it as another manifestation of Armenophobiа, a gross attempt to violate peace and stability in the region, as well as discreditation of the peacekeeping mission:
“The Foreign Ministry of Artsakh calls on the international community to give targeted assessment to Azerbaijan’s actions and take adequate steps to restrain the destructive policy of the official Baku.
The people of Artsakh are steadfast and determined to live freely and sovereignly in their land and overcome all difficulties with honor.”
President of Artsakh Araik Harutyunyan signed a decree according to which partial military mobilization has been announced in the Republic as of August 3, 2022.
The gangs of the Baku regime violated the ceasefire regime in the area of Sarybaba Hill. This is stated in the news bulletin of the Russian Defense Ministry on the activities of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.
“There is an aggravation of the situation in the area of responsibility of the contingent. The ceasefire regime has been violated by the Azerbaijani armed forces in the area of Sarybaba Hill. The Command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, together with representatives of the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides, are taking measures to stabilize the situation,” the Russian defense ministry said in a statement.
In order to ensure the safety of Russian peacekeepers and prevent possible incidents, continuous cooperation is maintained with the General Staffs of the Armed forces of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
