DONETSK (Realist English). The former head of the DPR MGB, Andrei Pinchuk, believes that it will not be possible to complete the special operation “quickly and brightly” on the territory of the former Ukraine, everything will be “slow and dull”.
“When the options for negotiations and agreements fell out of circulation, now there is either victory or defeat. This is very uncomfortable, because I want to find some options. The last such attempt was made in Istanbul, and before it there was Minsk-2, Minsk-1 — these were attempts not to lose, not to win, to postpone the problem for later. All these attempts have already been made. There will be no negotiations. But I would not make implacable hawks out of our rulers either, because if they were, there would be no such attempts.”
The layman has an idea that if a military commander is a genius, he can take 300 Spartans and defeat a huge army. All our expectations often come down to the fact that there is probably some kind of a cunning plan. Some unique special forces operators. But contrary to myths and Hollywood films, there are no such examples in the history of mankind — only technologically superior or correlated forces win.
Victory is only possible by mechanical multiplication of military potential, precisely by the mechanical one and by accumulation of military mass. We have no other ways,” Pinchuk said in an interview with RTVI.
