MOSCOW (Realist English). It is necessary to carefully monitor the dynamics of the cost of goods that should always be available to people, said Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
“We cannot allow the current difficulties to be overcome simply by raising prices. An increase in the supply of goods should lead to price stabilization,” the Prime Minister stressed at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Mishustin urged to pay special attention to the cost of medicines and medical products. “The Cabinet of Ministers will continue to monitor prices for the products of each industry,” he added.
On March 17, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a videoconference meeting on measures of socio-economic support for the regions. The Head of State stressed that “in the new realities, deep structural changes of our economy will be required, and I will not hide that they will not be easy, they will lead to a temporary increase in inflation and unemployment.”
