MOSCOW (Realist English). There are plans to repair more than 4.7 thousand of the road network facilities in Russia in 2022, the area of laying the top layers of the coating in 2022 will be more than 105 million square meters. Most of the road construction materials used are domestically produced, said Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
“During the work carried out on the federal, regional and local road network, Russian-made materials are used, including sand, crushed stone, asphalt concrete and bitumen, so there is no shortage of resources. Most of the road construction materials used are domestically produced.” he noted.
Khusnullin stressed that all the measures are being taken in accordance with the concluded contracts, without lagging behind the schedule.
“Road workers have done a lot of work to prepare for the new season: they concluded state contracts in a timely manner, prepared the material and technical base in terms of equipment support, prepared the necessary materials. This makes it possible to ensure the implementation of the road works program in full.” said Igor Kostyuchenko, Deputy Head of the Federal Road Agency.
The basic materials are produced on the Russian territory. There are many quarries in the country for the extraction of sand and non-metallic materials, mineral powders producing enterprises are operating successfully. Bitumen materials are produced at oil refineries from oil, which is also produced in Russia.
According to experts, the share of imported materials used in the construction and repair of highways is extremely small.
“Only certain brands of additives and modifiers are imported, some of which can be replaced by domestic analogues. In this regard, the impossibility of using certain additives will not affect the progress of road works.” said Alexey Bunchik, director of the Association of Manufacturers and Consumers of Asphalt Mixtures (Association ROSASFALT).
In March, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated more than 163 billion rubles from the federal budget for the reconstruction and construction of federal and regional highways, as well as road infrastructure facilities in Tatarstan, Primorsky Krai, Belgorod, Kemerovo, Moscow and Yaroslavl Regions and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
