GLENDALE (Realist English). President Donald Trump was spotted in animated conversation with tech billionaire Elon Musk during a memorial service for conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Sunday, marking the first time the two have appeared publicly together since their widely publicized falling out.
Seated in the president’s box alongside UFC chief executive Dana White and House Speaker Mike Johnson, Trump leaned in toward Musk during remarks by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Both men gestured frequently, with Musk nodding as Trump spoke.
The meeting comes months after Trump honored Musk at the end of his role with the Department of Government Efficiency in May. Their relationship later soured in a public dispute over Trump’s policy agenda bill and Musk’s threat to form a new political party.
According to sources, Kirk had played an informal role mediating between Trump and Musk following their split. He reportedly urged Musk to tone down his criticism, warning it could damage Trump’s broader agenda. Musk, the sources added, was receptive to Kirk’s counsel.
Musk left his seat shortly after Hegseth concluded his remarks.
