MOSCOW (Realist English). Many books with detailed historiography have been written on this topic. But almost nowhere is it said about the main thing: Artsakh and Syunik have been the basis of Armenian liberation movements for the last fifteen centuries — from Vachagan III Barepasht to David Bek, Nzhdeh, Ozanyan and Ter-Tadevosyan. Why am I telling this?
The occupiers and their accomplices seize our lands not because they have nowhere to live themselves. They seize Artsakh and Syunik in order to finish the Armenian as a species forever, to finish the Armenian, who is the heir of the Armenian Highlands named after him, where life on Earth was born three times.
By surrendering Berdzor at the hands of Armenian governors, destroying our churches, khachkars and graves, the enemy wants to break us morally. How can we resist this?
Don’t expect help from the authorities or foreign governments. Put aside this damn politics. It has brought you nothing but discord.
At the moment, we, the Armenian people, should start with ourselves: unite in small groups on a professional basis!
If you are a military serviceman, unite a community of military professionals around you. Don’t expect the vertical to help you in any way. Remember: the vertical is working against you. Develop horizontal connections with your colleagues. Gather, discuss topical issues, hold joint meetings in the countries of residence. Share knowledge, connections and experience! Don’t be greedy. Your knowledge and skills should serve the people!
If you are a medic, unite a community of medical doctors around you. Exchange knowledge and experience. At the right moment, each of you will be useful to each other. You know better than anyone what mutual assistance means.
If you are an agronomist, economist, political scientist, philologist, journalist or musician, then it’s time for you to unite people around you too. Get to know them, help them, develop horizontal ties, because the day is coming when you will all need each other, and our Motherland needs you all together now already.
Remember: the Armenians play bad cards, but even having such cards you can win. There are a lot of us. There are a lot of us, much more than it sometimes seems. Let each of us extend a hand to his brother and sister. And then you will see that the Lord will work through you. This is your Lord, who has been keeping you at Home for four and a half thousand years. And He will always keep you, because this land belongs to us — the descendants of Haik!
