MOSCOW (Realist English). Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin believes that US President Joseph Biden needs the continuation of the military operations on the territory of the former Ukraine in order to retain power and achieve the desired result in the upcoming midterm elections in the fall.
“In three and a half months, midterm congressional elections will be held in the United States. It is extremely important for President Biden to keep the majority of his supporters in it. Otherwise, he may be impeached. And he is unlikely to become a candidate in the next presidential election, which he plans.
The Ukraine plays an important role in these elections. Even as Vice President, Biden was a participant in its political life and an active supporter of the Maidan. Having occupied the Oval Office of the White House, he became the ideologue of waging war to the last Ukrainian, and did everything to prevent a peaceful settlement in the Donbas. Biden needs the continuation of the military operations in Ukraine to retain power. He has no other way out,” the speaker wrote in his telegram channel.
Volodin reminded that in 2014 Biden supported the coup in Kiev and the Nazi regime:
“Today, clinging to his power, he plunges the whole world into an armed conflict and economic crisis. Inflation in the US has been breaking records for the last 40 years, and in the EU the price increase is the highest in the history of calculations.
Meanwhile, the Ukraine has lost its sovereignty and is on the verge of self-disintegration. Is Biden’s presidency worth such sacrifices?”.
Elections to the House of Representatives and the Senate will be held on November 8. Representatives of all 435 districts will be elected to the lower house of Congress, and 34 out of 100 senators will be elected to the upper house.
