Terrorist actions are based on hatred of Armenians on ethnic and religious grounds, a manifestation of a systemic managed hate policy, Armenian Ombudsman Kristine Grigoryan stressed.

YEREVAN (Realist English). Anti-Armenian propaganda has acquired a radical and even fascist character in Azerbaijan, Armenian Ombudsman Kristine Grigoryan said.

“The recent cases of direct shelling, these terrorist actions are based on hatred of Armenians on ethnic and religious grounds, it is a manifestation of a systemic, controlled policy of hatred. It would be naive to consider all this an accident,” the News-Armenia agency quotes her as saying.

Grigoryan stressed that Armenian-hating in Azerbaijan is systemic, as evidenced by numerous reports of the Ombudsmen of Armenia and Artsakh, as well as by international structures.

“Azerbaijani society is being fed with this. Last but not least, this has led to the outbreak of several wars. This is especially true of the war unleashed in September 2020, which was accompanied by large-scale propaganda of hostility and hatred,” she added.

From September 27 to November 9, 2020, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, with the participation of Turkey and international terrorists, carried out aggression against Artsakh. Aliyev’s kleptocratic regime used rocket and artillery weapons, heavy armored vehicles, combat aircraft and prohibited weapons, including cluster bombs and phosphorous weapons.

Turkish Bayraktar drones were also exstensively used, which caused vast damage. Among other targets the strikes were carried out against civilian and military facilities on the territory of Armenia.
