Lavrov is wrong — the Baku fascists are not ready to ensure the rights of Armenians or other indigenous peoples of the Caucasus

How can the fascist regime of Aliyev ensure the rights and freedoms of the Armenians of Artsakh if it is unable to ensure the rights and freedoms of the Talysh, the Avars, the Lezgins, the Tats or other indigenous peoples of the region, asks the Editor-in-Chief of the Realist News Agency Sarkis Tsaturyan.

MOSCOW (Realist English). The Armenian leadership does not talk about the status, and the Baku mini Sultanate is ready to ensure the rights of the Artsakh Armenians, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

“The Armenian leadership has recently been talking more about the rights of Armenians in Karabakh than about the status. The Azerbaijani side is ready for this, they are ready to discuss it, to provide them with all guarantees of the rights that other Azerbaijani citizens have”, he said.

According to Lavrov, at the quadrilateral meeting in Prague, the Armenian side approved without reservations the Almaty Declaration, according to which “all Union republics confirm the inviolability of borders, within the borders that existed between the republics of the USSR”.

“In other words, at that time the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region was definitely part of the Azerbaijani SSR. And when it was approved by Azerbaijan, Armenia, France, and Mr. [European Council President Charles] Michel without any reservations, it solves the question of how to approach the status of Karabakh,” the Russian Foreign Minister said.

The Editor-in-Chief of the Realist News Agency Sarkis Tsaturyan commented on Lavrov’s theses, drawing the Minister’s attention to the fundamental circumstances:

“Lavrov says that the Minisultanate is ready to ensure the rights of Artsakh Armenians. I want to ask the head of Russian diplomacy: How can the fascist regime of Aliyev ensure the rights and freedoms of the Armenians of Artsakh if it is unable to ensure the rights and freedoms of the Talysh, the Avars, the Lezgins, the Tats and other indigenous peoples of the region?

There is no need to go far for examples. For the last 30 years, the Avars and the Lezgins have not even been able to fully study their native languages in the schools of the minisultanate!

Perhaps, Sergey Viktorovich, it’s time for you to think about these people? After all, there are many Avars and Lezgins living in Russia proper, who have been demanding (since Soviet times, remember the great Rasul Gamzatov) that Moscow influence Baku.

Who does one have to be in modern conditions to believe the promises of the Baku fascists?

When Lavrov talks about such sensitive things, he refers to the Armenians who survived the Genocide in Western Armenia. He also addresses the Armenians from Baku, Sumgait, Gandzak, Gardmank and Nakhichevan who have been forcibly deported.

In memory of the millions of the Armenians who have suffered and in the name of justice, we have no right to be deceived again. After all, only fools are constantly deceived!

As for the government in Yerevan, it is time for it to end this chatter about the “rights of the Armenians of Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan” and get down to business: recognize the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination and demand similar steps from the international community. And now, they settled in well — they are afraid to stick their heads out, and instead of responsibility for the people, they entrusted the fate of the Armenians to France and the United States, threw everything on the shoulders of the French and the Americans. You can’t do that! This is criminal negligence, for which you will still answer!”.
