Russia’s Defense Ministry revealed details of US development of biological weapons in Ukraine

With a high degree of probability, we can say that one of the tasks of the United States and its allies is to create bioagents capable of selectively striking various ethnic groups of the population, said the head of the Nuclear, chemical and biological protection troops, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov.

MOSCOW (Realist English). The information received from various sources confirms the leading role of the US Department of Defense Threat Reduction Agency in financing and conducting of military biological research on the territory of the Ukraine. This was announced by the head of the Nuclear, chemical and biological protection troops, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov.

“Details became known of the UP-4 project, which was implemented with the participation of laboratories in Kiev, Kharkov and Odessa and was designed for the period up to 2020. The purpose of the project was to study the possibility to spread particularly dangerous infections through migrating birds, including highly pathogenic H5N1 influenza, the mortality rate of which reaches 50 percent for humans, as well as Newcastle disease. Due to the fact that the Ukraine has a unique geographical location where transcontinental migration routes intersect, 145 biological species were studied within the framework of this project. At the same time, at least two species of migratory birds were identified, whose routes pass mainly through the territory of Russia,” the general explained.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, simultaneously, information about migration routes passing through the countries of Eastern Europe was summarized: “Of all the methods to destabilize the epidemiological situation developed in the United States, this is one of the most reckless and irresponsible, since it does not allow for control of the further aggravation of the situation. This is confirmed by the course of the pandemic of a new coronavirus infection, the occurrence and features of which raise many questions.

Besides, the R-781 project is of interest, where bats are studied as carriers of potential biological weapons agents.”

Among the priorities, which were indicated, is the study of bacterial and viral pathogens that can be transmitted from bats to humans: pathogens of plague, leptospirosis, brucellosis, as well as coronaviruses and filoviruses.

“With a high degree of probability, can we say that one of the tasks of the United States and its allies is to create bioagents capable of selectively striking various ethnic groups of the population,” General Kirillov said.

According to the information available to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Americans have already managed to evacuate most of the documentation from the laboratories of Kiev, Kharkov and Odessa, including databases, biomaterials and equipment, to the Lvov Research Institute of Epidemiology and Hygiene and to the American Consulate in Lvov. The possibility of moving part of the collection to the territory of Poland is not excluded.

During the hearings held on March 8 in the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland admitted the presence of bio-facilities in the Ukraine where research in the field of biosafety was carried out. She expressed concern about the possibility of transferring these biological laboratories and the materials located there under the control of the Russian Armed Forces.

Nuland indirectly confirmed the Pentagon’s implementation of a military biological program in Ukraine, bypassing existing international agreements.
